BASF introduces innovative HFO-based polyurethane systems at its Orange, CA site
ORANGE, CA, October 11, 2019 – BASF has commenced manufacturing innovative, low global warming potential, HFO-based polyurethane systems at its Orange, CA facility. The new systems provide sustainable, alternative solutions to HFC technology and addresses the California Air Resources Board (“CARB”) 2020 hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) substitution mandate that becomes law on January 1, 2020.
BASF will discontinue the manufacture and storage of HFC-based polyurethane systems at its Orange, CA facility on November 1, 2019. Production of HFC-based polyurethane systems will continue to be supported at BASF’s other North American polyurethane manufacturing locations.
