BASF's Performance Materials Division to implement freight surcharge in North America
WYANDOTTE, MI, May 18, 2018 – BASF’s Performance Materials Division will implement a $0.02/lb surcharge on all shipments made on or after June 1, 2018, or as contracts allow delivered to locations within the United States and Canada. Tight carrier capacity combined with a shortage of drivers and new federal data logging requirements are the primary drivers for the surcharge.
