Expandable polystyrene (EPS), open-cell and closed-cell spray-applied polyurethane foams (SPF) and rigid polyurethanes offer high R-values—often double that of traditional materials—along with air migration control. They install quickly, and contribute to durability and severe weather resistance.


Expandable polystyrene (EPS)


NEOPOR® is an insulation material that uses high-purity graphite to increase the material's insulation performance. BASF integrates high-purity graphite into the polymer matrix of NEOPOR, giving it a distinct silver-grey color and boosting its insulating performance up to 20% above conventional EPS.


Spray-applied polyurethane foam (SPF)


BASF SPF is one of the most effective, versatile systems products available, offering open-cell and closed-cell SPF wall insulation and insulating air barrier systems.


Unequalled air sealing properties, high insulation values, near zero-air-permeability, increased building strength and severe weather resistance contribute to increased occupant comfort, improved indoor air quality, and reduced operating costs. A lower environmental impact is achieved with zero-ozone-depleting blowing agents and low VOCs—some formulations also use significant recycled content and rapidly renewable resources.


SPF insulation products in the BASF portfolio include ENERTITE open-cell SPF, as well as WALLTITE®, ELASTOSPRAY®, and SPRAYTITE® closed-cell SPF materials.


Applied as a monolithic system, these materials expand to close every gap in the enclosure, providing almost-total air leakage control, as well as moisture-vapor transmission resistance, for a truly sustainable, higher-performing building envelope. They even add to structural strength by increasing rack and shear, providing resistance to flood water for up to 72 hours, and, in the case of the roofing systems, offering the industry's highest wind uplift resistance.
